The Deliverables required are as follows: The City of Red Deer Environmental Services department requires a contractor to supply equipment complete with operators on an “as and when required” basis. In-house resources may be limited and results in a continuing challenge to effectively and efficiently complete scheduled or non-scheduled work projects in a timely manner. Regular working hours are 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Work may be required after regular working hours, including night and/or weekend call outs. During these instances after hours/overtime rates will not be paid, the City will only pay the agreed upon rate in the contract. The required equipment types include; Tandem Axle Dump Trucks (Tandem), occasionally a Skid Steer (example: Bobcat S650- equivalents or better) and also occasionally a Tractor and Tandem Tridem Low Boy Trailer (Low Boy). Respondents are not required to quote on all 3 types of equipment. The City may, at its sole discretion, award to more than one respondent. The initial term of the contract shall be for 1 year unless sooner terminated according to termination clause in the attached agreement, with provision for 4 years extension in 1 year increments at the City’s sole discretion. |
