The City of Red Deer (the “City”) invites prospective respondents to submit information for an Artist Pre-Qualification to provide Public Art for the G. H. Dawe Community Centre Expansion, as outlined in this document (the Deliverables). The purpose of this RFQL process is to prequalify up to three (3) Artists for eligibility to participate in an invitational second-stage competitive process. |

Awarded Summary
Four potential public art opportunities have been identified for the centre, the three (3) awarded respondents for each opportunity will be invited to participate in a second stage RFQ process,
1.Entryway and flow through concept as a 2D or 3D mural or sculptural artwork that can be securely fastened to walls that moves visitors through the main floor corridor as a journey or additive experience.
2. Upper level: 2D text based murals for upper level (vinyl or other highly wear resistant material) that illustrates positive, inclusive and inspiring textual content.
3. Sculptural seating hub around beams: whimsical, organically shaped seating/natural greenery/conversation area located in main corridor.
4. Secondary Entryway and flow through concept that uses inlaid flooring material of commercial grade and surrounding wall or ceilings to move visitors through the space through play and imagination.
