The City of Red Deer Electrical Utility is working on connection of infrastructure via fibre optic cable. There are several small and large projects designed and planned. The Electrical Utility fibre optic work package will include construction drawings for pulling and splicing fibre optic cable, a list of City supplied materials (some materials, consumables and incidentals are supplied by the successful proponent). Placement of overhead fibre optic cable will be done with internal Electrical Utility resources. Placement of underground fibre optic cable requires the use of the successful proponent.
