This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the City to submit non-binding proposals for the provision of Contracting Services for The City of Red Deer’s Intermediate (Central) School Roof Structural Modifications – Construction Management Services (CCDC-5B) (the Deliverables) as set out in this section of the RFP.   

The existing roof structure on top of Cultural Services Building, located at 5205 48 Ave, Red Deer, AB, was identified as having a potential structural snow drift loading risk. Based on design calculations the existing roof structure has been determined to be under-designed and requires to be structurally upgraded to satisfy current codes and regulations. To mitigate the risk of structural failure under full potential drifting snow loads, The City has obtained a structural assessment to establish the feasibility of structurally reinforcing the existing roof structure. 

The objective of the The City of Red Deer’s Intermediate (Central) School Roof Structural Modifications – Construction Management Services (CCDC-5B) is to carry out the remediations of the existing roof structure based on engineered investigative reports
